To continuously improve user experience for both our sellers and buyers, the Marketplace Commission Fee for all Marketplace sellers will be revised effective 10 January 2023 based on product categories.
Before that, Shopee only charged a 2% fee on all products sold through the platform, but starting from January 10 2023, Shopee will charge a fee of 2.5% to 4% depending on the type and category of different products.
This measure will only be charged to sellers who sell more than 100 items, and sellers who have less than 100 completed orders (calculated from the date of registering a Shopee account) will not be charged this commission.
According to the table released by Shopee, a commission of 2.5% to 4% will be charged for electronic products, 4% for fashion products, 3% to 4% for fast moving consumer goods, and 3.5% to 4% for lifestyle products. .
Note, however, that this fee does not include additional SST, which would be more expensive.
Shopee said that with the increase in commissions, they will be able to operate more efficiently, including in terms of customer service and can be more proactive in adding new features for sellers.
